Description: (From the author) My purpose, especially in Part I of this book, is two-fold: first, it is to show how the study of basic quantum mechanics principles and phenomena strongly suggests that consciousness plays a primary role in the shaping of physical reality. Secondly, this conclusion, once reached, hopefully will encourage the reader to consider investigating on his own the limitless possibilities of mankind which exist beyond the constraints of any physical models, including the quantum model. To this end I have endeavored in Part II of the book to assist the reader in taking a “quantum leap” in thought to explore the concept of a reality – a spiritual reality – based on the universality of Mind or Spirit.
The healing experiences recounted in Part II of this book are not presented to support the thesis that scientific prayer is more effectual than material means (medicine, surgery) – although one can argue that it is – but to illustrate that legitimate transformation of the body and of lives can occur through a change in the state of consciousness; and that in some instances these changes appear to violate physical law. It is left to the reader to conclude whether the source of consciousness is to be found in the matter-brain, or in Spirit, God, Mind. I present arguments throughout the book for the thesis that the first and only cause is Mind.
BOOK CONCLUSIONS – What of the Future?
Quantum entanglement (quantum non-locality), quantum superposition at the macroscopic level with the future possibility of superposition of living organisms, the suggested claim for the falsity of the doctrine of local reality (realism) - all of these [discussed in this book] – challenge the material senses’ concept of reality.
Spiritual healings – especially the very quick or “instantaneous” ones that appear to defy the laws of physics as we know them, strongly point to a different kind of reality beyond matter and space-time – a reality of Spirit/Mind (the only true consciousness). These healings are in accord with the Science of the Laws of Spirit and Love. These laws are not seen nor comprehended by the material senses, but never –the- less are as real as the so-called laws of matter. In fact they are the only laws. Spiritual healings should convince anyone who proclaims to be an atheist that there indeed is a universal and unconditional law of Love, and that consciousness, not matter or material law is supreme. God does not manipulate a material universe; if He does, we would have to ascribe to Him the cause of tornados, earthquakes, diseases oil spills, etc.
An overnight healing of a large cancerous growth on the face, the disappearance of cataracts in a matter of hours, or the slow fall of a child from the top of a high slide point to a change in the state of consciousness, a consciousness now imbued with the thoughts or truths of God who is infinite Love!
At this period humanity has an opportunity to drop outmoded and worn-out concepts of God as either non-existent, indifferent to the sufferings of mankind, incapable of helping the world, or being the creator of evil, itself. We have the opportunity, and choice now to embrace a higher concept of God!
What is your choice, and what will the future bring for you?
REVIEWS
“At long last, a promising dialogue between science and medicine has begun. A focal point of this discussion is healing and how it happens. Jack W. Geis shows how modern physics and spirituality are centrally involved in this debate. No one who is interested in the current interface between science, spirituality and medicine can afford to neglect his ideas.”

Words: The Power of Prayer and the Practice of Medicine
“This book introduces some of the most perplexing and exciting aspects of the revolution going on in physics today as it continues toward an increasingly metaphysical basis for defining reality. This exciting scientific revolution should be shared by everyone and the issues taken up in this book form a basis for that participation. That the math is not in the chalk is becoming increasingly evident, as well as the question as to which is more substantial.”
—Dr. Laurance R. Doyle, Astrophysics and Planetary Science, Center
for the Study of Life in the Universe, SETI Institute
“Jack Geis is a lifelong student of metaphysics, more particularly Christian Science. He is also a physicist. From years of in-depth study of spiritual principles and the new physics, Geis has produced a remarkable document that presents the new physics to the spiritual explorer in a way that is both accessible and fascinating.
Physics, Metaphysics, and God is a major contribution toward the harmonization of cutting edge physics and spiritual practice. He uncovers the parallels between spiritual healing and wholeness, and the principles of quantum physics.
Don't be afraid of the ‘physics’ - Geis offers illustrations, examples, charts and graphs that make the subject come alive even for those like me with little exposure to the new science.”
—Dr. Barbara Neighbors Deal, Literary Associates, Crescent City, CA
“I recommend the book as an impressive overview of the interface between modern physical science and its implications to our spiritual evolution and healing.”
—William C. Gough, Chairman of the Board (Foundation for Mind-Being Research)
“Mr. Geis...demonstrates absolute respect for the rigors of scientific discipline, coming to valid conclusions in the only way possible...by arguing logically according to pertinent facts. There is no end of people ready to make an assertion, but hardly any are willing or even able to design a crucial experiment. The latter ability is characteristic of critical thinkers such as Mr. Geis.”

Very Powerful Book with a Bold Goal, June 10, 2010

This is quite a book...The author starts your journey by discussing quantum-physics and the uncertainties involved - with a key-stone point that mind impacts electrons, and hence matter...This of course is a huge oversimplification on my part - but a key point nevertheless. He goes into the area of metaphysics and spiritual healing and offers up the connection between MIND (he uses caps) to represent God, our minds/consciousness, and material manifestations.
This book will most certainly move you forward several notches in your spiritual path...
